Jeff Ackerman, the editor/publisher of The Union (a Western Nevada County Newspaper) recently purchased a new Triumph Bonneville, and wrote a nice essay about the love of a motorcycle. As a new rider, I think I feel the same thing.
“I think the term I’m looking for is “alive.” I’m pretty sure most of us want to be alive and that we all have different perspectives on what that really means. Rushing past the fall colors, with glimpses of the sun’s sparkle bouncing off the rushing Yuba River on Saturday, I felt really, really alive. After a few miles my body and bike had gotten to know one another and I was leaning, not steering, into the turns that snake in and out of the canyons along that spectacular stretch of California.”
