It’s early on Thursday morning, as word of the accident starts to spread. I first see the article at 9:45am. According to “Your 4 State” news:
“The accident happened just after 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the intersection of Routes 50 and 751 in Gore.
Police say Dmitri Medvedev of Washington D.C. was killed when a car turned in front of his motorcycle.
The passenger on the motorcycle was taken to Winchester Medical Center with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the car was not injured and has been charged with reckless driving. “
We’re all in shock as the words of condolences start filling Dmitri’s facebook page. Dmi’s fiancee, Cassi was riding on the back of the bike and is recovering at Winchester Medical Center. Please keep her in your thoughts for a speedy recovery and strong support during her time of loss.
We’ll have more news as we find out… right now, I think we’re all fairly speechless. I only met Dmitri a few times. He led some great rides and put smiles on the faces of those around him.
He will be missed…

“Attention All Friends: Cassi Is in good condition with one more doctor to see. Dmitri did what he could to protect her in the wreck and was amazingly successful. The hospital has asked that people refrain from calling the icu as they cannot handle the call load. She will be home in a couple of days and will need all of your prayers and love on the road to her recovery. Please reach out to her in fb for now. Both Dmitri and Cassi’s family appreciate the love and support. Xoxoxo”
