What do you get when you combine CafeRacer.xxx‘s One Year anniversary, with Ocean City Bike Week and Loaded Gun Customs‘ Terraplane Gallery opening?
One hell of a party.
Saturday morning (9/14), Mike Ikenberry,Tony Gyepi-Garbrah and Sadiki Harriott joined me on the simple but beautiful 2 1/2 hour ride across the Bay Bridge and onto the Eastern Shore. Delaware to be exact. Being a perfect riding day we passed (and were passed by) many bikes of all shapes and sizes.
Ocean City Bike Week was in a different location, but the region is small enough that you see bikes going in all directions. It even got so bad, that people stopped doing the customary “bike wave” due to left-hand fatigue.
Sasha Valentine was there offering up her latest brew – CafeRacer.xxx Coffee.
Kevin Dunworth of Loaded Gun was our proper host – along with his dad – showing the mad scientist lab that is LGC.
Portland based, Lanakila MacNaughton was there as well – showing her amazing photography work… and even jumping on the back of a bike to shoot some new creations.
The ride back, into the sunset, was blinding but worth it. It gave us a little time for the mind to pull back all the great images captured during the day. (HT to Gentlemen’s Brim for sharing some sweet camera shots.)
