Thanks to everyone who came out today for the Washington DC Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride.
I’m blown away by the crowd of ladies and gentlemen that saddled up in their finest duds for a such a great cause. The Washington, DC event had 220 riders and raised over $22,000. The international total is moving towards $4 million raised for men’s health!
Other than a few minor breakdowns, we had no major incidents and the deer seem to have stayed away. (In case you missed it – here’s the video of last year’s deer attack… https://www.youtube.
We’ll have tons of photos and videos to share from this years ride at bothhttp://fb.com/dctriumph and http://dctriumph.com – stay tuned for updates. Be sure to send your best stuff tohttp://dctriumph.com/upload.
Have a shot that is so amazing – the world should see it – be sure to upload it to the official DGR page here…. http://photo.
If you happen to post on social media (twitter, instagram, etc.) please use the #DCDGR hashtag so we can find your stuff. If you wanna give a plug to #dctriumph and #dcmotoscene, you can do that too…
Just to thank a few groups and people…
Thanks to the Irish Inn for opening early and letting us override their parking lot with our two-wheeled noise makers. Also, thanks for having hot coffee and pastries at the ready.
We couldn’t have started so smoothly if it weren’t for Montgomery County’s finestwho gave us a police escort out of the parking lot and back into Washington, DC. Thanks to them.
Motorcycles of Dulles was a huge help with a chase truck and water tent along the way. It’s a huge comfort to know there are tools following some of the vintage bikes.
Thanks to Blank Label for giving a free custom dress shirt to every rider in the event today. Email DGR@dctriumph.com with your name and we’ll get you fitted for your free shirt.
Our new home base, The Dew Drop Inn, also opened early just of us and handled our huge crowd of thirsty bikers with amazing hospitality.
And finally… The DC Triumph team busted their asses to make the ride run smoothly. Thanks to everyone involved. It wouldn’t happen without ya…
Thanks again everyone… see you next year…
