You gotta love the web. Just about any question can be answered with a few key strokes. (Well, I still haven’t figured out who actually watched Wipeout rather than the Olympics, but that might be too deep of a question for the web.)
A few weeks ago, I stumbled on Randal Birkey’s site dedicated to his Hinckley Triumph Bonneville. Randy’s done a great job of detailing the upgrades and tweaks he’s made to his 2008 Bonneville – and the love for his bike shows.
I’m pondering changes to the suspension on my Bonneville – and I posed a simple question to Randy. “Any recommendation on what to get? I’m looking for a smoother ride on DC pot holed streets.” The response turned out to be a detailed blog post on the fixes he’s made to his shocks.
The answer is that after attending a Total Control Rider Training class called Advanced Riding Clinic (ARC1) within a year of purchasing the bike, and learning more about the principles of motorcycle handling and suspension, I decided to contact one of the class sponsors, Race Tech about upgrading my suspension.
Thanks to Randy for all his help. Check out is site for tips and ideas…
