Cross-Country Triumph Ride for Art – DC Meetup @ Franklins Restaurant, Brewery and General Store
Apr 3 @ 11:00 pm – Apr 4 @ 2:00 am

Heather Johnson, an artist from NJ, is taking her Triumph Tiger cross-country for a month-long Artist Residency fellowship at BoxoHOUSE, in Joshua Tree, California. Along the way she’s stopping by DC – and we should show her a proper DC welcome…

Read more about Heather, her art and her adventure here… http://dctriumph.com/2013/02/cross-country-triumph-ride-for-art/ (and don’t be afraid to donate a little to her indigogo campaign…)

We sent Dave Clissold to scout out the location for tomorrow night. The folks at Franklin’s are waiting for us – and have the upstairs loft ready. Just ask for the DC Triumph party. The parking lot next door is metered parking until 8pm, so you might need 50 cents to get you from 7pm to 8pm.

See you tomorrow night…

First Annual Georgia Moto Ryder Hooligan Run @ Blue Ridge Parkway
May 17 @ 7:00 am – May 20 @ 11:00 pm

Georgia Moto Ryder is hosting the first annual Hooligan Run on May 17-20, 2013. We will ride the entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway from north to south. Go to our site for ride details:

http://www.georgiamotoryder.com

Click the “Hooligan Run poster at the top left of the site

We will be raffling off some sweet swag from our sponsors. You can buy raffle tickets for the Hooligan Run swag on our website (linked above). Just below the Hooligan Run poster is a drop down menu and a Paypal ‘Buy Now’ button. Raffle tickets are priced as followed:

1 ticket – $2
3 tickets – $5
10 tickets – $15
20 tickets – $25
40 tickets – $40

Select how many you want and click ‘Buy Now.’ It will route you to Paypal’s website. Please make sure your Paypal contact information is correct so we can accurately hand out the raffle tickets during the ride.

**ALL funds collected for the raffle tickets will do directly to support The Hooligan Run.**

A few things to note:
– The Blue Ridge Parkway is a desolate road. I have a list of exits with fuel stops that we will use. I’d suggest packing your own food as restaurants will not be readily available. MREs are a great idea. We are also camping multiple nights. Make sure you have the appropriate gear.
– The BRP is a big tourist attraction and I expect lots of cars in spots. The posted speed limit is 45 mph. I am not planning on this being an aggressive ride. If you want to do so and go ahead of the group just make note of the campgrounds we are using and we will meet up with you there.
– I am still lining up sponsors. They are providing swag that will be raffled off. Raffle tickets will be for sale during the ride. All money collected for the swag will go directly to the resources spent on the ride. You can also make a donation directly. Contact me if interested.
